General

The beautiful blue Fender American Standard Telecaster is a left-handed Tele from Fender's professional American Standard series, featuring a maple fretboard. American Standard is short for 'the wicked, definitive American-made Fender Telecaster to end all disputes about Telecasters as it incorporates all of the latest innovations'. Despite all this novelty, however, it still produces the famous Telecaster twang. What's more, this distinctive Tele sound is now even fuller and clearer thanks to this guitar's two Fender Custom Shop pickups.

American Standard Telecaster: a modern Tele

The Twisted Tele pickup in the neck position takes care of the full, Stratocaster-like tone, while the Broadcaster produces the distinctive, crystal-clear Tele sound. The modern American Standard Telecaster features a comfortable body with a body contour, a relatively flat fretboard, medium frets and a Bi-Flex truss rod system. The latter three enable a very low action.

Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
