The beloved traditional Telecaster sound is properly wrought by the American Standard Telecaster's Broadcaster bridge pickup. The neck pickup, a Twisted Tele, uses its alnico V magnets to produce a sound that is more like the fat sound with the high output of a Stratocaster pickup. These bright sounds are supported by the maple fretboard and the high-quality ash body's deep core sound.

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass.
