General

The Fender Telecaster can often be heard contributing to music types like country, funk, blues, jazz and even hard rock. It has a very recognisable, unique sound that is perfect for the tightest cleans to the heaviest distortions. This American Standard Telecaster is the latest edition of the original '50s model. It has the same looks and sound as the popular classic, but offers you the advantages of a modern instrument. All-new to this version are the exclusive Custom Shop pickups, the contour on the back of the body for more comfort, and the beautiful Jade Pearl Metallic finish. Compared to the version with the rosewood fretboard, which has a slightly warmer sound, this Telecaster features a one-piece maple neck that provides for slightly fiercer trebles.

American Standard Telecaster: Custom Shop sound quality

Since its introduction in 1987, the Fender American Standard Telecaster has been subjected to several upgrades and modification. This upgrade, however, is a completely different animal. It includes a set of Custom Shop pickups, consisting of a Broadcaster in the bridge position and a Twisted Tele near the neck. The bridge pickup produces the authentic Tele sound with neat basses and trebles with an aggressive bite. The Twisted Tele isn't your average Telecaster single-coil, as it provides the fat, transparent sound of a Stratocaster neck pickup to the overall output. Additionally, there is nothing traditional about the American Standard Telecaster's tone control, as it consists of a no-load potentiometer that takes itself out of the circuit when fully opened. This'll provide you with the pure and raw single-coil sound without influence from a tone potentiometer.

Modern edition of a legendary classic

Even though tradition comes first, Fender often applies the latest technology to their guitars for an even better sound and playability. For instance, the neck of this American Standard Telecaster provides you with more playing comfort thanks to its 22 medium jumbo frets, a relatively flat 9.5-inch fretboard radius and a Bi-Flex truss rod system. This allows for a very low action without clattering or loss of strings. The comfortable, hand-rolled fret edges have of course been maintained on this guitar. The vintage-style ash-tray bridge, however, has been replaced with a modern version with six adjustable Strat-type saddles for an optimal intonation, and five-screw mounting for improved tonal transference to the body. The staggered machine heads eliminate the need for a second string guide, so you'll no longer be bothered by annoying buzzing, but will be left to enjoy the extra sustain and a more stable tuning.

The Fender American Standard Telecaster Jade Pearl Metallic MN is delivered including a Fender guitar strap, instrument cable, polishing cloth and an exclusive high-tech case with durable TSA latches.
