General

Jeff Kendrick, of metal band DevilDriver, prefers ESP guitars for his rather imposing shredding. It is small wonder then that ESP/LTD are happy to cooperate with the man to create this stunningly designed instrument with a thundering metal sound. The LTD JK-1 DSTB features a flamed-maple top, which is characterised by its beautiful grain. Additionally, this guitar sports a tasteful transparent-blue finish and a smooth, slender neck.

The impressive sound of the JK-1

This Eclipse-model guitar has a body made of mahogany, a wood type that was selected for its warm, yet clear character and because it forms an excellent basis for the EMG 81 pickups together with the tone-enhancing neck-through-body construction. These EMGs are a band of incredibly tight and clear active humbuckers that guarantee spotless rhythm and solo playing at even the highest gain. Additionally, the LTD JK1 DSTB is equipped with an immensely reliable Tonepros bridge.
