General

The LTD B-155DX STB (See Thru Blue) lets you explore the depths of five-string metal and hard rock bass playing in style. Naturally, this guitar has a powerful sound as it is equipped with two humbucker pickups that were chosen for their proper, hum-free output. Additionally, this blue bass guitar is fitted with three tone knobs to control the built-in active equalizer and give your bass sound a distinct character.

The fast and elegant B-155DX

Lets not forget about the attractive looks of this versatile instrument. In addition to a beautifully shaped body, the LTD B155DX STB has a Flamed Maple top with a striking grain that is marvellously accentuated by the transparent blue finish. Apart from looking pretty, the bevelled body edges' main contribution is their enhancement of playing comfort, which was already large thanks to the thin, fast neck profile.

Wrote the following about ESP LTD B-155DX STB electric bass guitar 5-string See Thru Blue

Bas speelt erg fijn, er zit een grote variëteit aan geluiden in, van sprankelend clean tot een diepe grom. Ook een lekkere knor behoort tot de mogelijkheden.
De bas is relatief licht te noemen, al is het geen multiplex speelgoed basje.
Het enige wat een beetje tegenvalt zijn de meegeleverde snaren en de fabrieksafstelling had iets beter gemogen (de actie verschilt van snaar tot snaar maar dit is vrij simpel op te lossen natuurlijk).
De bas is goed in balans als hij om de nek hangt maar ook zittend is er wel goed op te spelen (voor zover dat goed te noemen is, voor mij is het bij iedere bas puzzelen hoe je hem houdt als je zittend speelt).

Rechttoe rechtaan volume en blend knop voor de elementen, laag midden en hoog op de pre-amp.
Klein puntje op de knoppen is dat de blendknop wat moeilijk loopt, even de knop losdraaien en recht op de potmeter zetten verhielp het probleem gelukkig.

De output van de bas is wel extreem hoog door de pre-amp, kijk hiermee uit als je een simpele versterker hebt zoals ik, de speaker begon aardig te klapperen (en de buren ook).

Gewoon een goede bas dus voor een hele goede prijs.
