General

De kersenrode ES-335 van Gibson is een iconische gitaar die in allerlei facetten van de (pop)muziek voorbij is gekomen. Epiphone, het dochtermerk van Gibson, biedt u de Dot. Dichterbij een echte ES-335, inclusief de chique uitstraling en klank, zult u niet komen. Deze gitaar betreft een inruilgitaar, gebouwd in 2013. De gitaar is wel bespeeld, maar vertoont nauwelijks gebruikssporen. De gitaar kan overal mee naartoe, in de meegeleverde Fazley gigbag. Tevens is hij voorzien van straplocks met gitaarband.

Epiphone Dot, de rock-'n-roll tijdmachine

Ondanks dat deze Epiphone een stuk vriendelijker geprijsd is dan zijn broers en zussen van Gibson, beschikt hij wel over (nagenoeg) dezelfde houtsoorten. Voor een heldere basisklank is de body vervaardigd uit gelamineerd esdoorn (maple), voorzien van de bekende f-gaten. De mahonie (mahogany) hals met palissander (rosewood) toets zorgt voor een solide klank met een vleugje warmte. Uiteraard is de Dot voorzien van twee humbuckers, in dit geval de Epiphone Alnico Classic. Deze zorgen voor een klassieke humbuckertoon waar elke gitarist blij van zal worden.
