General
Of course you're free to opt for a fully active speaker set, but if you'd like to have optimal control over the various components, you're better off with a PA system with passive speakers and separate amplifiers. As an added bonus, a set like that offers you more extensive configuration options. This speaker set includes two Devine Trono 12 satellite speakers and two Devine B115 subwoofers - all passive - and complements them with an American Audio VLP-1000 and VLP-1500, which drive the Tronos and the subs respectively. Two American Audio distance rods are also included.
Devine Trono 12
The Trono 12 is a great all-rounder. The passive PA speaker features an excellent wooden bass reflex cabinet, providing the base for a solid sound. A 12-inch woofer supplies the necessary punch and takes care of the mid-range frequencies, while a 1-inch tweeter handles the trebles. The Devine speaker can handle a continuous power of 200 watts (at 8 ohms), but is perfectly capable of putting up with the occasional 800-watt peak. Connectors are provided in the shape of wire terminals, 6.3mm jacks and locking speaker connectors, the latter of which also allow for easy daisy-chaining of an amplified signal.
Devine B115 subwoofers
The lowest frequencies are reproduced by the two B115 subwoofers of this Devine set. Equipped with a 15-inch woofer and a rugged wooden bass reflex cabinet, the B115 is able to reproduce frequencies as low as 35 Hz and can handle a continuous power of 450 watts with 800-watt peaks. Thanks to its metal grille and rugged finish, the B115 can take a punch. Three types of connectors are at your disposal - wire terminals, 6.3mm jack inputs and locking connectors - so there's always a possibility to connect the B115. The handles on the sides and the stand flange on top complete this remarkably budget-friendly subwoofer.
American Audio amplifiers
The Devine speakers of this set are driven by two American Audio amplifiers: the VLP-1000 and the VLP-1500. The VLP-1000 takes care of the two Tronos and supplies two times 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms, or no less than two times 500 watts at 4 ohms. The VLP-1500 is able to provide the necessary power for the Devine B115 subwoofers, and supplies 500 watts and 750 watts per channel at 8 and 4 ohms respectively. Thanks to cooling fans, these amps are able to keep cool at all times. They come in a 2U rack size, so you can mount them professionally in a 19-inch rack.

Ik heb ze gekocht omdat ze er goed uitzagen. Op de gok. Ik heb ook een hfi versterker gekocht met bijna 200 watt per kanaal . Op de gok. De boxen zouden te groot zijn voor de versterker vertelde de shop waar ik de versterk heb gekocht. Ik heb ze echter gewoon aan gesloten en het gaat goed
Ik gebruik ook een onkio equalizer moet ik zeggen . Maar wauw wat een sound.
Ik gebruik er nu ook surround boxen bij en het is net een bioskoop
Het kan ook echt hard ( heb ik al even uitgeprobeerd. ). Zeker geschikt voor een tuin feest . Ook geschik om erover te zingen.
Ik gebruikte mijn mission boxen ( 20 jaar geleden 2e hands gekocht 1000 eur per stuk ) maar nu deze. Voor in de woonkamer zijn ze wel wat groot. Maar met de nieuwe versterker en surround boxen wauw want een sound.
Het zal wel aan mij liggen maar de technologie is van daag de dag echt beter.

Als men wilt kan men altijd wel negatieve punten zoeken
Maar met de devine trono 12 bereik je in ieder geval veel geluid in meerdere hoeken
De ingebouwde limiter is een pluspunt.
