General

The Denon DN-SC3900 takes the combination of turntables, tabletop players and digital DJing to a whole new level. This revolutionary tabletop player has been developed for DJs who don't want to give up on vinyl entirely, but who would like to explore digital possibilities. By combining these options, Denon has created a unique hybrid: the DN-SC3900 really sets itself apart. Never before did one single device offer you the choice of playback via CD and USB as well as via software and network media.

DN-SC3900: spinning vinyl simulation on a MIDI tabletop

The DN-SC3900 is equipped with a supple, rotating 9-inch platter, which feels exactly like a traditional turntable thanks to a high-torque direct-drive motor, but is small and agile enough for super-fast scratch moves. It starts and brakes just like a real turntable - you can even adjust the start and brake times to suit your preferences - providing you with the feel of a Technics SL1200 in a compact digital tabletop. The DN-SC3900 is fully MIDI-assignable to boot, which enables you to freely adjust and map all the elements of the tabletop. You can easily control various applications and DJ software with DVS, without the use of timecode CDs.

Audio playback via USB, CD, network or computer

The top panel of the DN-SC3900 is equipped with a USB port that allows you to play back tracks from USB sticks or USB hard disk drives and to use them for scratching. As such, you're no longer required to bring your CD collection or your laptop to your gigs - although it is still possible to play CDs via the fast-loading slot-in drive at the front of the player. It is also possible to share files via a network of up to four players and to control them via your iPad, or to play back music from your PC or Mac by means of the included Engine music management software. A quick computer is not even a prerequisite, as all the intensive audio processing takes place on the SC3900.

Tabletop CD players are always supplied with a short RCA-RCA cable, which enables you to connect the player to a mixer. For intensive use, we recommend that you add a more supple cable with more rugged connectors to your order, such as the Procab CAB800.

halo,

Serato of Traktor.
