De Privia-serie van Casio is al jaren te zien op talloze podia. Geen wonder: veel muzikanten vallen voor het lichte, compacte ontwerp, de goede betaalbaarheid maar natuurlijk ook voor de hoogwaardige pianoklank. Het klavier telt 88 toetsen en deze zijn gewogen, om een realistische en natuurlijke expressie in uw spel te laten leggen.

De Privia PX-330 beschikt over 250 klanken, die volgens de 'Linear Morphing AiF'-technologie worden gegenereerd. Dit resulteert in een open, frisse klank. Het pianogeluid komt hierdoor prima door de mix heen en de ingebouwde digitale effecten helpen nog eens om de klankkleur naar wens bij te stellen. Wanneer u ideeën wilt vastleggen, kan dat met de ingebouwde 17-track recorder. Complete arrangementen en hit songs: het is aan u om ze in te spelen. Voor entertainment en keyboardlessen zijn 180 ritmes ingebouwd. Alles bereikt uw oren, dankzij de ingebouwde twee-weg speakers, met 2 x 8 Watt versterking.

Gebruiksgemak

De Privia PX-330 is voorzien van een USB-aansluiting. Zo kunt u koppelen met een computer, om via software uitgebreid op te kunnen nemen. Ook is het uitstekende klavier op die manier als 'master keyboard' te gebruiken. Wanneer u het podium regelmatig op en af moet, heeft u een geringe last aan de PX-330. Een krappe 12 kilo, daar blijft het bij. Een degelijke line-out en line-in en twee hoofdtelefoonaansluitingen bieden genoeg mogelijkheden, thuis en op het podium.

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?

The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
