General

Casio's Privia series consists of advanced digital pianos that each reproduce a natural sound. The PX-150 BK is the compact starter model. This model is ideal for use at home but you can also easily take it with you. The digital pianos from the Privia series are equipped with powerful sound modules. These modules provide a superior piano sound with exactly the same details and nuances as those of a real piano. Advanced sensors make sure your playing style is perfectly reproduced.

The PX-150 out of the Privia series

The PX-150 is the starter model of the latest '50' series from the Privia collection. The new AIR sound source (Acoustic and Intelligent Resonator) provides an extremely accurate piano imitation. This new engine uses three times more waveform memory than its predecessors. As a result, it produces a much more detailed sound and much better tone resonance.

Use of the PX-150 digital piano

The PX-150 is the starter model of the latest Privia generation. This model is suited for both beginners and slightly more advanced piano players who are looking for a neat digital piano to use at home. The PX-150 is neatly arranged and offers you access to the most important functions. It is finished with a black top layer.

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?

Monday 11 January 2016

The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
