General

The Casio CTK series has a wide range of keyboards for beginners as well as professional keyboard players. All Casio keyboards have a solid construction and a clear lay-out for the selection of different tones. They have 61 full size keys and all versions have a built-in amplifier with speakers.

Features of the CTK-4200
This Casio CTK-4200 keyboard provides you with 600 instruments, 180 rhythms, 152 songs and even 10 effects. You can easily select your combination of instrument and rhythm via the clear back light LCD display. It is also possible to connect your MP3 player or other sound devices to your keyboard so that you can play along with your favourite music. Wit the sampler you can record and play favourite parts of your songs.

Advanced functions
With the Step-Up teaching method you can learn how to play the keyboard step by step. You can also record up to five songs with the 6-track recorder. Thanks to the USB and MIDI functions you can use the keyboard for modern applications during gigs or recordings in the studio. In short, this keyboard is very versatile so you will never get bored with this CTK-4200!

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?

The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
