General

The Casio CTK series has a wide range of keyboards suitable for beginners as well as professionals. With their clear lay-out, it’s easy to select different tones. The keyboards have 61 full-size keys and all versions have a built-in amplifier with speakers.

Features of the CTK 2200
The CTK-2200 has a simple design: with its improved interface, controlling gets easier. The CTK 2200 offers you 400 instruments, 150 rhythms, 110 songs and 10 effects. In addition, you can connect your sound device, for example your MP 3 player, to play along with your favourite music. With the sampler you can even record certain parts.

Ideal for beginners
The CTK-2200 is equipped with the Step-Up learning system which teaches you to play step by step. Voicepad lets you decide which lesson you want to take and in what way. You can also determine whether you want the chords to be played automatically, or if you want to do it yourself when you strike a key. The built-in metronome allows you to keep track of the right tempo during playing.

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?

The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
