Wat de beste notatiesoftware is zal altijd een meningentwist blijven - niet zelden gebaseerd op persoonlijke smaak. De lijst met frontrunners is in ieder geval niet groot en daarbinnen is Sibelius een zeer grote naam. Het pakket wordt gebruikt door amateurmusici, en zeker ook professionele componisten, arrangeurs en orkestrators. Met Sibelius 7 Media Pack voegt u een stuk meer waarde toe aan uw Sibelius 7-pakket. In het pakket zit Sibelius 7 met daarbij een flinke hoeveelheid relevante samples (4 DVD's!). U dient wel zelf een gebruikerslicentie voor Sibelius 7 te hebben; de Media Pack is dus een update, bedoeld voor mensen die Sibelius 7 reeds hebben.

Like Avid's Pro Tools, notation software Sibelius will work with a different license model from now on. This means you'll no longer receive a colourful box - you'll be working with activation cards and downloads instead.
