Product no: 9000-0007-6730 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

The Apple ME866 is the fastest and most powerful standard configuration for the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. It's equipped with a 2.6-GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz, 8 GB of internal memory and no less than 512 GB of PCIe flash memory. What that means for you is you'll have more than enough storage capacity for all your audio and video projects, or your entire DJ music library. Of course, the most noticeable external feature of this attractive notebook is the 13-inch Retina screen. The screen offers an unbelievably clear, detailed, sharp image from every angle, thanks to the integrated IPS technology and LED backlighting.

Haswell architecture and PCIe flash memory

The 512GB PCIe flash memory reads and writes your files a full 60% faster than the SSD drives used in the previous generation of MacBook Pros. As such, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display starts up in mere seconds, as do your programs. The memory doesn't consist of any moving parts either, which works to keep your data safer than a traditional hard drive would. Furthermore, the notebook is equipped with a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor with the latest Haswell architecture. That means that the computing power of each individual core is used optimally by the 64-bit OS X Mavericks operating system. Should you find that you don't have quite enough processing power when working with a photo, video or audio project, then the Turbo Boost function will give it some extra power to keep everything working smoothly.

External devices

A number of convenient I/O ports are available for connecting all your external hardware to the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. You have access to two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone output, an SDXC card reader and an HDMI connector. The new, super-fast Thunderbolt port is also included, which allows you to connect up to six Thunderbolt devices such as external monitors, RAID arrays, video recording equipment and sound cards. You can also make use of all your old FireWire devices and Gigabit Ethernet network via adapters that are sold separately.
