In het Apogee Symphony I/O chassis is plek voor twee modules. De modules plaatst u aan de achterzijde van deze USB audio interface. U heeft de keuze uit 5 verschillende modules met elk hun eigen configuratie. Uw Symphony I/O kan via de Apogee Symphony 8x8 analoog I/O + 8x8 AES/optical I/O module acht analoge en tien digitale en kanalen tegelijkertijd afspelen en opnemen.

De module heeft acht analoge gebalanceerde in- en uitgangen (DSUB-25) en 8 digitale in- en uitgangen. Via een schakelaar bepaald u of u deze via het Optical of AES/EBU formaat wilt gebruiken. Daarnaast heeft hij ook een coaxiale S/PDIF in- en uitgang.
