General
This device provides the classic mirror ball effect, only inside out! American DJ have equipped their older lighting effects with their famous Tri-LED modes. Of course, the Sunray couldn't stay behind. It has been renovated and renamed: this is the new Spherion. This lighting effect produces the same effect as a mirror ball with a pin spot, yet its beams are a bit fuller and you can switch colours. You have full control of the lighting effect thanks to the added DMX-control. You can create more creative chases by adjusting the rotation speed, rotation direction, dimmer, stroboscope and the colour. Your show will be much more versatile.
Power and colour of the lighting effect
The Spherion has five Tri-LED modes. These modes consist of three (red, green and blue) diodes that are placed next to each other to make colour blending without shadows smooth and easy. Furthermore, because there are five modes, the light yield has been increased (multiplied by five). This gives a great effect with clear, sharp beams, especially in combination with smoke.
Use of the Spherion
The Spherion can be placed upright and upside down, which increases your options when it comes to placement. It has rubber feet as well as a mounting bracket to which you can attach a set of half couplers or G-hooks. Subsequently, you can place the Spherion in your truss construction. The 116 lenses of the Spherion provide an amazing effect. The lenses have a beam angle of 360 at 270 degrees and can shed light on almost anything! The optics provide sharp beams, even when they have to cover a longer distance.

teruggedaan en de witte versie aangeschaft waar de optiek van betere kwaliteit is (American DJ Spherion Wit LED lichteffect)
Het geeft een geweldig leuk effect, met meer variatie dan een gewone discobol en geeft behoorlijk wat licht af.
+ 5 tri leds zitten erin behoorlijk vel dus
+ het is op dmx, geluid, standalone geweldig en handig
+ hij heeft deze kleuren: rood, groen, blauw, paars, cyan, geel, wit in plaats van een gewone spiegelbol alleen wit
- ik wil binne een jaar zo'n zelfde bol zien maar dan met rgbw leds zodat je ook echt wit hebt dat zou geweldig zijn
- jammer weer dat er alleen een input is en geen output
voor de rest een super ding ben blij dat ik ze gekocht heb
hij is goed en makkelijk aan te sturen via dmx.
ik vind hem wel wat aan de dure kant, maar daarin tegen krijg je er wel een mooi effect voor die fel genoeg is.
voor het vervoeren hiervan is de Arriba Case AC-160 flightbag 381 erg geschikt.
even wat verpakking materiaal er in doen en past super.
Omdat ik de Spherion in de verhuur doe en de meeste van mijn klanten niet met DMX kunnen of willen werken heb er ik er meteen een UC3 remote control bij gekocht en dat werkt zeer makkelijk.
Als optie raad ik een draagtas aan, zodat je bol netjes beschermd is tijdens het transport en het stof geen kans heeft om het toestel te benaderen. De Arriba Case AC-160 flightbag 381 x 356 x 457mm is perfect geschikt voor deze bol.
En een klein statief (Innox IVA S-1 luidsprekerstatief medium uitvoering 1.80m) met een American Audio BOX-2 adapter, is eveneens erg nuttig. Je plaatst je bol er netjes op tijdens je sessie.
