De Revo Roll van American DJ is een LED scanner met 52 LED's die scherpe stralen produceren in de kleuren rood, groen, blauw en wit. De Revo Roll heeft 4 DMX-kanalen en een display om de scanner in te stellen op DMX, stand-alone of master/slave functie. Door de vele LED's in deze scanner is de lichtopbrengst gelijk aan een 250 Watt halogeen lamp. De Roll heeft een zaalvullend effect, een strobe functie, een laag stroomverbruik, een lange levensduur en een lage warmte uitstoot door het gebruik van LED lampen.

Je moet natuurlijk wel van het barrel-effect houden,
maar laat je niets wijs maken over dat een setje van deze scanners te druk zou zijn: met DMX kan je de meest rustige scenes programmeren met zeer traag bewegende lichtpatronen, in tegenstelling tot de Revo Scan; waar enkel razendsnelle bewegingen tot de bewegingsmogelijkheden behoren. Ook in sound-active mode zijn ze erg mooi, vooral als je er ééntje in "master" en de andere in "slave 2" zet, dan doen ze namelijk het tegenovergestelde van elkaar, maar soms toch weer exact hetzelfde, of wisselen ze elks om beurt van kleur. Zeer mooi om gade te slagen!
Een minpunt is wel de lichtopbrengst.. De 1/10de Watt LED's die American Dj gebruikt zijn goed genoeg, alleen word het licht bij de Revo Roll door de barrelspiegel nog eens in 4 a 5 delen gesplitst. Hierdoor zijn ze -zeker in combinatie met ander licht- een stuk minder goed te zien in rook dan de Scan versie of andere effecten zoals de Quad Gem of de Reflex.
Al bij al is het een merkwaardig effect, waar je met wat dmx handigheid onvoorstelbare dingen mee kan doen!
