De American Audio XSP-8A is een luidspreker met ingebouwde versterker, echter heeft deze iets bijzonders wat we nog niet tegengekomen waren in dit prijssegment: de luidspreker beschikt over een tweewegversterker, waarbij de ene kant de driver van geluid voorziet, en de andere kant de woofer. Dit zorgt voor een goede samenwerking tussen het hoge geluid en het lage geluid, met als gevolg een goed geluid. Deze luidspreker heeft een frequentiebereik van 20Hz tot 20kHz, waardoor hij geschikt is voor allerhande situaties, waar compactheid een eis is.
