General

Powered mixers worden voornamelijk door de wat kleinere bandjes ingezet. Vaak wordt daar namelijk alleen de zang en enkele instrumenten versterkt. Dan is een enorme PA niet nodig, maar zijn twee fullrange luidsprekers en een stagemonitor al voldoende. De PA-12CP beschikt over twee aparte versterkermodules, die geschikt zijn voor stereo setup, of voor een enkele speaker en een monitor.

Ins en outs van de PA-12CP

De PA-12CP beschikt over 8 mono kanalen en 2 stereo inputs. Zodoende biedt hij voldoende kanalen voor een kleinere band met enkele microfoons en een lijnbron zoals een laptop. De uitgebreide vierbands equalizer biedt u de mogelijkheid om de klankkleur iets te accentueren.

Wrote the following about Allen & Heath PA-12CP

Allen & Heath PA-12CP powered mixer

Veel sneller dan verwacht geleverd. Heel goede service van BAXshop, omdat BAXshop contact heeft gelegd met de importeur. Chapeau! Na 5 maanden de mixer in gebruik te hebben, kan ik er het volgende van vertellen.
Prima overzichtelijke tafel waar snel en goed mee te werken valt, met een optie om de eindversterkers ("aan boord") flexibel in te kunnen zetten. De amps kunnen, door switches in of uit te drukken, aangestuurd worden door de mains-faders L en R (2 x 500W FOH), de mains L+R-fader opgeteld (mono 500W) en aux 1-fader (500W) of de aux-faders 1 en 2 (2 x 500W monitor en mains line out). Dit maakt de tafel flexibel, wanneer die ingezet wordt met FOH 2 x 500W en aparte monitorlijnen waarmee een aparte monitorversterker wordt of actieve monitorsaangestuurd worden, of wanneer die gebruikt wordt in grotere systemen. In de laatste optie heb je dan 2x 500W voor 2 monitorlijnen, terwijl je met de mains een grotere PA kan aansturen. Een erg handige en goed doordachte optie! Verder het bekende warme geluid wat je van A&H gewend bent. Klankmatig vergeleken met mijn Soundcrafts (K2,Delta DLX,Spirit powered mixer, 200B), Yamaha O1V en A&H Wizard een prima aanwinst. Een klein minpuntje is de dubbele fan van de koeling die constant "door blijft lopen" en in stille situaties (b.v. conferenties) hinderlijk kan zijn. Maar kort en goed: voor het geld: veel kwaliteit en power; een grote aanrader!
