General

The QX61 is a complete, 61-key MIDI keyboard, manufactured by Alesis. The range of this user-friendly production instrument is a full octave wider than that of the QX41. It is fitted with 8 rotary controls, 4 drum pads and 8 faders and the clear display shows you the most important settings. Connecting the keyboard is easy: simply link it to your Mac, PC or iOS sequencer, or to your MIDI hardware via USB and you are good to go.

The expressive QX61
The QX61 has four drum pads with a nice feel to them, which enable you to program drum tracks and to start samples and loops. The rotary controls can be used to adjust filters or pan, while the faders allow you, for instance, to control the volume faders of your sequencer. The pitch wheel enables you to bend the pitch during recording sessions or live performances and the modulation wheel can be used to control any filter you like. The playback controls of your software can be linked to the various programmable buttons. Finally, you can send program changes directly from the keys. This MIDI keyboard has all the features you need for an intuitive musical experience!

Ready for use
If you don't have a sequencer at your disposal, you can use the included Lite version of the popular Ableton Live. This program offers all the basic functions you need for recording, producing and live performances. The QX61 MIDI keyboard is ideal for live purposes. The wide keyboard can be split up into sections, allowing you to control several software instruments simultaneously. In short, this practical controller has many expressive possibilities.

Tips or comments about this product

Please note: connection to iOS devices requires an Apple USB adapter, which is separately available as part of the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit. You will also need a power adapter (for the Q61), which is sold separately as well.

Alesis QX61 USB MIDI keyboard (61 keys)
Wrote the following about Alesis QX61 USB MIDI keyboard (61 keys)
