General

The Alesis QX25 is a pleasantly compact MIDI keyboard. Featuring 25 velocity-sensitive keys, 8 knobs and six assignable buttons, it enables you to effortlessly control nearly any type of MIDI software and hardware. You can start playing and recording immediately, using software instruments and samplers. The QX25 can be connected to your PC, Mac or iOS software by means of a USB or MIDI connector. A mouse is no longer required!

QX25: small, but complete

Play your melodies using the 25 keys of the QX25 MIDI keyboard, and program beats by means of the four comfortable, illuminated drum pads. Control filters and pan with the 8 smooth knobs and edit the pitch - in real-time or afterwards - using the pitch and modulation wheels. A practical octave shift function increases the octave range of this compact MIDI controller, and you can also divide the keyboard with a simple push of a button, enabling you to control more than one instrument at the same time.

Start right away

The compact QX25 is supplied with a Lite version of Ableton Live, so you can start playing, recording and editing your own tracks right away. The various transport functions of your production software can be controlled by means of the six responsive transport buttons of the MIDI keyboard, and the drum pads can be used to trigger samples and loops. Surely you'll be able to find a place in your setup for this compact, remarkably complete MIDI keyboard!

Please note: connection to an iOS device requires a separately available Apple USB adapter. In that case, you'll also need a separately available power adapter to power the QX25 (the AKAI MP6I AC adapter).

De QX25 is een perfect MIDI-keyboardje voor als je weinig ruimte hebt. Het trekt stroom via de USB-poort, dus behalve de meegeleverde USB-kabel heb je verder niets nodig (als je niet via USB werkt, maar via de MIDI Out, moet je er wel een adapter bij kopen). Ook handig bij live optredens.

De QX25 biedt verbazend veel waar voor zijn geld: 25 full-size toetsen met aftertouch, knoppen voor octaviëren en moduleren, 8 draai-controls, een data-slider, wielen voor modulation en pitch-bend, en 4 drumpads. Je kunt alle controls toewijzen zoals jij dat wilt. Via het toetsenbord heb je bovendien nog toegang tot een hele bak Advanced instellingen.

Ik kan eigenlijk maar één minpuntje verzinnen. De toetsen lijken een beetje gevoelloos waardoor je de neiging krijgt hard te gaan rammen, maar dit is eenvoudig te verhelpen door de aanslaggevoeiligheid te veranderen. O ja, en de gebruiksaanwijzing is wel erg summier.

Ik kan de QX25 aan iedere MIDI-hobbyist aanraden.
