General

For the perfect sound you can't go around a condenser microphone, but in order to keep that sound in perfect shape, a valve amplifier is what you need! The double back-to-back, 1-inch diaphragms are equipped with True Condenser Technology and give all your recordings precisely the right touch. With its frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, you have precisely the right reach: everything that is within the human range of hearing, will end up in your recordings! In order to make the set especially versatile, you can choose from omnidirectional, cardioid and figure eight pickup patterns, as well as six intermediate patterns. These can all be selected via the remote control unit.

The Perception 820 offers the ultimate "tube" sound quality that it achieves via the tube/valve amplifier. The accessory, good-looking remote control unit provides you with full control over all the options of this microphone. You can, for instance, select one of the nine pickup pattern, control the bass-cut filter and the 20 dB pad with it. The ground lift switch ensures that annoying humming sounds disappear from your recordings. As if the set wasn't complete enough before, you are also provided with a spider-type shockmount and even with a handy aluminium carrying case.
