General
The Perception 170 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone that offers excellent sound quality, a great construction and a high-quality housing. This lightweight microphone is equipped with a small diaphragm that provides a clear and transparent sound, meeting AKG's high sound quality standards. Sixty years of experience precede the development of this microphone, so you can rest assured that its technology is advanced.
Just look at the 0.5 inch diaphragm with true condenser qualities that the Perception 170 is equipped with. The microphone has a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz; equal to the human hearing range, so you can record anything you hear with your own ears. Thanks to the cardioid recording pattern, hardly any ambient noise is picked up. The small housing of the Perception 170 is also equipped with a 20 dB attenuation pad, which reduces noise even more, allowing for a normal recording volume under nearly all circumstances.

Kwaliteit van de microfoons : perfect.
Na lang zoeken en lezen van allerlei reviews over verschillende soorten en merken heb ik deze gekocht, en daar heb ik nog geen enkel moment spijt van gehad.
Opnames zijn zeeeeer realistisch, warme diepe klank en zeer goede afwerking van de microfoon zelf.
Ik gebruik de microfoons (2 stuks aangekocht) in combinatie met de Tascam us200 en het resultaat is verbluffend.
Reacties over de opnames zijn unaniem beantwoord met de vraag : ben je naar een studio geweest ?
Nadelen ? Ik zou niet weten wat ik hier miet vermelden.
Conclusie : meer dan zijn prijs waard voor opname van instrumenten.
Moet zeggen ben hier erg blij mee , 2 instap pro- mics voor niet al teveel geld , heb nu 3 mics/overheads voor de drumset( de derde is de AKG pg81) , voor de prijs van bijna 2 wat duurdere , die Ik in eerste instantie zou aanschaffen.
Maar op advies van Joris , DE man van licht en geluid ,heb Ik voor mijn eigen eisen , nu zelfs wat betere mics nog (voor in het hoog vooral)
Kan niet anders zeggen dat Joris zeer veel geduld had bij mijn vragen en ook een zeer goede uitleg/info gaf , iets wat ik bij veel andere zaken wel mistte . Kennis van zaken is voor my a must als prof drummer , en uiteraard een snelle en goede service, allemaal goed dus.
Ga zo door BaX, ben vaste klant nu, en veel succes met jullie nieuwe vestiging dadelijk.

Deze condensator microfoon heb ik een keertje op de gok gekocht om te kijken wat je nou eigenlijk voor zo'n bedrag kan verwachten, en ik ben echt heel blij verrast.
De stukken die ik heb opgenomen klinken echt geweldig. Echt zeer realistisch, zeker als je er een leuke buizenversterker voor zet. Waar ik deze microfoon voor echt goed voor vind is, akoestiche gitaar, drums, piano, dus vooral akoestiche instrumenten.
Nadelen zou ik graag willen melden, maar die heb ik alleen nog niet gevonden.
