General

The Akai MAX25 is an advanced keyboard controller with both USB and MIDI, as well as CV functionality. As such, it enables you to control nearly any type of controller hardware or software, from classic analogue synths to the most state-of-the-art DAWs. The MAX25 features 25 semi-weighted keys with Aftertouch for a natural feel and an excellent response, as well as eight genuine MPC pads and four LED touch faders. Thanks to its compact design, this astonishing controller neatly fits on any desk and in any backpack.

MAX25: everything under control

The Akai MAX25 is supplied with AkaiConnect automatic-mapping software and supports both Mackie Control and HUI, making it compatible with nearly any type of DAW. Four LED touch faders - controllable by dragging your finger up and down the strip - and four banks give you control over up to sixteen parameters. Four banks are also available for the eight backlit and pressure-sensitive MPC pads, providing you with a total of 32 assignable pads, including MPC Swing and Note Repeat functionality.

Control via USB, MIDI and CV

At the rear of the MAX25, you'll find a USB/MIDI port, as well as a traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output. More unique are the 1/4-inch CV and 1/4-inch Gate outputs, which enable you to operate your vintage, analogue synths using the controller or your DAW. The Akai MAX25 is also equipped with standard transport buttons, a backlit LCD display, rubber pitch and modulation wheels, a built-in arpeggiator and four time division controls, plus a built-in step sequencer that allows for a detailed build up of tracks.
