Alles moet tegenwoordig in een limited edition witte uitvoering beschikbaar komen! Na Pioneer, Numark, Native Instruments en vele anderen kan ook Akai deze dans niet ontspringen. Met de komst van deze limited edition witte APC 40 wordt voor de liefhebber van witte gear een wens vervuld. De smetteloze witte body, de faders en de zwarte draaiknoppen met witte toplaag steken netjes tegen elkaar af. Tussenliggende grijze accenten zorgen voor een geleidelijke overgang. De sfeervol gekleurde pads lijken nog feller op te lichten dan voorheen.

Constructie van de APC 40 Limited Edition White

De overzichtelijke constructie en optimale afstemming op Ableton software zorgt voor optimaal gebruiksgemak voor iedere producer. De APC 40 kan perfect op een studomeubel of bureau geplaatst worden en neemt niet te veel plek in. De low-profile behuizing werkt ergonomisch omdat hij iets gekanteld is. Dit helpt eveneens voorkomen dat u per ongeluk tegen de faders stoot. De rotary encoders aan de rechterzijde zijn voorzien van praktische LED-ringen die parameters netjes aangeven in de vorm die u wenst. Dankzij deze functie profiteert u van endless encoders, waarbij u de waarde per omwenteling helemaal zelf kunt bepalen.

Ableton aanpassing

De APC 40 past zich wel aan, wat mede terug te herleiden is via de 8x5 pas die overeenkomen met Ableton's raster sequence analyse software. De diverse aan/uit modi worden kleurrijk weergegeven. Daarnaast zijn de tracks en effecten perfect met de rotary encoders te bedienen, waardoor u de muis niet snel meer zult aanraken.

De welbekende en voor mij persoonlijk ideale controller voor live performances in Ableton Live. Qua functies identiek aan de originele APC40, maar met naar mijn idee iets helderdere ledjes. Aangezien bijna mijn hele setup bestaat uit gear met een witte of zilvere finish een ideale toevoeging.

Voor verder commentaar raad ik aan de reviews te lezen van de originele (zwarte) APC40, aangezien het product verder identiek is.

Akai Launches Two New Bluetooth Controllers: the LPD8 and LPK25 Wireless

After they launched the LPD8 and the LPK25, Akai developed wireless versions of both these controllers, namely the AKAI LPD8 Wireless USB MIDI controller and the AKAI LPK25 Wireless USB MIDI keyboard. Both are equipped with a Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) interface, but you can also connect them to your Mac or PC via USB, which charges them at the same time. When operating them via Bluetooth, both controllers require 3 AA batteries.
