General

CD players come in all shapes and sizes. This Tascam CD-240 is of an entirely new level, though, thanks to its extensive options and functionality. The CD-240 is capable of playing back DSD audio - also known as super CDs - and can be used as a network player too, as it is equipped with an Ethernet connector. A USB input allows you to play back audio files from a USB stick and even from your phone. In short, this Tascam CD player opens up a range of possibilities and offers a high quality level to boot.

Tascam CD-240: the modern music system

The Tascam CD-240 is equipped with an Ethernet connector. That means you can easily incorporate the player into your network, enabling it to play back audio from your NAS server or from a connected PC. Thanks to a number of apps, available for both iOS and Android, you won't even have to get out of your comfy chair to control the player - you can simply operate the CD-240 by means of your phone or tablet. A high-end BurrBrown converter handles D/A conversions, ensuring audio is reproduced exactly as it was recorded in the studio.

Professional playback

The Tascam CD-240 is not only suitable for home use, but is perfectly capable of holding its own under demanding circumstances. The CD and network player is equipped with all the connectors it needs for professional applications. At the rear you'll find balanced XLR outputs and unbalanced RCA outputs, and it's also possible to set up a digital connection via optical or coaxial S/PDIF. The CD-240 has a 19-inch housing, which makes it ideal for installation. The Tascam CD and network player takes up only 2 units of space and can easily be operated using the controls on the front panel.
