General
The Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-4 helpfully injects the signal of up to four passive microphones with a +25dB boost of extra gain. If you come up against the high impedance of lesser-quality preamps or interfaces, then the CL-4 will solve any volume issues by boosting the microphone signal up to line-level, and besides solving impedance problems, can help prevent noise and interference when using longer cables. The tight Mic Activator takes up just 1U of precious rack space and can serve as part of broadcasting and live, as well as studio rigs.
