General

Basically a mash-up of the Auteur and the Auteur MK2 500 Series modules, the Black Lion Audio Auteur Quad is a 1U microphone preamp equipped with four brilliant preamps. One of the most popular microphone preamps in the world, the original Auteur is known to deliver a delicious blend of clean and lightly-coloured sound fit for virtually all instruments and voices, while the upgraded MK2 version came with two preamps in a 1U half-rack housing, and the 500 Series edition had an extra hi-Z input. Combine all of that and you get the Auteur Quad. Armed with two 'standard' preamps, two Hi-Z preamps, phantom power, and pad, phase and gain controls, the Quad is nothing if not a highly-complete, high-end bit of kit designed for professional studios.
