The Mesa Boogie Stereo 2:Fifty power amplifier delivers sound with muscle. It's not only the overdriven tones that are transferred faithfully from your preamp, but the four 6L6 tubes also provide plenty of room for clean tones that remain frayed at high volumes. Besides its pure signal transfer, the Class A / B amp circuit uses the most efficient route for tube amplification, so you get every bit of power you would expect from a Mesa Boogie.

Mesa Boogie Stereo 2: Fifty: Extra Dynamics

The Mesa Boogie Stereo 2: Fifty even adds a little refinement to the characteristics already owned by the 6L6 tubes. The sound from your pre-amp, regardless of brand, is first routed through three 12AX7 tubes via an active presence, which adds extra dynamics and more space for the upper harmonic layers to inject more life into the overall sound. This 2x50 Watt stereo power amplifier turns your medium-sized rack installation into a monster.

Warm up your Guitar Sound

The active presence switch ensures an articulated top high, and when disabled, the 2: Fifty output stage gives more warmth to your guitar sound. If you want to add a different character to your pre-amplified sound, the 6L6 tubes are interchangeable with EL34s and to do this, just flip the bias switch on the back. The fixed bias on this amplifier is also completely maintenance-free and will always get optimum performance from the Mesa Boogie tubes.

Mesa has continued their glorious tradition by using four EL-84 power tubes in the amplifier, contrary to the earlier Mark Five Twenty-Five, that had to manage with 'only' two. This amp, preceded by the Nomad, Mini Rectifier Twenty-Five and the Caliber, has been released onto Mesa's mini platform in a combo as well as a head version.
