General

The Nova EX300 2-way passive vertical array speaker is a narrow speaker that provides an elegant solution for your mobile applications as well as fixed installations. This EX300 has a housing made of 12mm-thick plywood and a black, scratch-resistant coating, which, in combination with the metal grille, protects your speaker during transport. The EX300 is a robust, professional passive speaker that features a vertical array system, which means it has three 5-inch drivers on top of each other. This, together with a Beyma PM4 Precision High Driver, ensures defined dynamics and an accurate high-frequency response so your audience will be able to hear your music clearly, even at the back of the venue.

Nova EX300: application

Thanks to its outstanding audio quality and compact design, the EX300 is not only ideal for mobile use, but also functions perfectly as part of a high-end system in a fixed installation. That's why you're sure to come across one of these in theatres, hotels, clubs, restaurants, houses of worship, conference rooms or at a live performance by a DJ or band. In combination with one or more subwoofers, you can create a powerful system that's easy to transport. The EX300 offers 400 watts of continuous power and the line-array configuration boasts a dispersion angle of 100 x 25 degrees, resulting in less reflections off the wall and ceiling and a much more direct sound. Your audio will come through loud and clear regardless of any difficult acoustics the room may have.

Using the Nova EX300

This passive speaker requires an amplifier for your music to be heard. When using an amplifier, it's important to use a high-pass filter to prevent your drivers from any damage. Nova themselves offer a selection of amplifiers, but other professional amps that offer 400 watts of continuous power are suitable. Another possibility is the use of an active subwoofer like the EX315SUB. With it, you can create a powerful mobile setup that will surely impress your audience.
