General
The Electro Voice ZX1-90 is an 8-inch two-way passive speaker. This compact, lightweight, flexible sound system was designed to deliver a superb, mature sound despite its compact form. The polypropylene cabinet construction, in combination with the 8-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver, deliver the acoustic performance of a 12-inch speaker and even that of some 15-inch cabinets! Since the ZX1-90 also has built-in overload protection, you can rest assured that it will always perform without giving out on you.
Applications
The ZX1-90 is well suited for mobile use, is easy to carry, takes up little space on stage and won't take a gigantic bite out of your budget! This speaker is particularly good for live vocals, whether sung or spoken. That means, of course, that singer-songwriters, presenters and workshop leaders can all make excellent use of this speaker. Moreover, the system is easy to expand with a subwoofer or by addding the active version of the ZX1. As such, you can easily scale your sound system to suit your needs.

mooi vermogen voor binnen of een simpel setje voor achtergrondgeluid buiten. Heb ze zelf op een EV q44 aangesloten, dit is net iets boven het limiet van de speakers aangezien de speakers 200RMS kunnen leveren, maar een beetje headroom is altijd beter voor de versterker, je hoeft de versterker uiteraard niet voluit te zetten.
Persoonlijk vind ik de behuizing wel wat snel beschadigen, maar er is wel een goeie prijs-kwaliteit ratio en ze zijn zeer licht dus dat zie ik niet als minpunt.

Door de enthousiaste verhalen heb ik besloten 2 van deze EV ZX1 te kopen naast mijn HK Audio Pro 12
Ik vond het spannend omdat ik zeer tevreden ben over de grotere HK Audio.
Maar wat een strak helder geluid komt er uit deze speakers. Ik heb ze nu kleinschalig getest en morgen bij optreden voor grotere zaal maar ben nu al zo enthousiast.
Daarbij zo compact!!!! Ik ben heel benieuwd hoe ze zich gedragen bij grotere ruimtes maar voor nu laaiend enthousiast! Overweeg zelfs nu al mijn andere grotere HK Audio Pro 12 inch te verkopen en dan nog 2 van deze ZX1 te kopen zodat ik bij grotere zalen heel makkelijk kan bijzetten en ze ook nog in de auto passen.
Ik gebruik ze als zanger gitarist samen met mijn beste investering ooit de Dynacord 600 MK3

Zelf heb ik 15 jaar P.A gedaan, maar daar mee gestopt. Alles opgeruimd maar alleen de ZX 1 nog bewaard voor kleine klusjes. Met een sub er bij een zeer krachtig setje.
Mijn versterker is een EV Q66 (de oude). Als het moet kan het echt knallen! Aanrader!
Mooi, helder en hard geluid. Strak design en licht van gewicht! Het enige wat ik niet begreep is waarom er bij vermeld staat "M8 schroefdraad voor vliegend gebruik" want deze paste niet. Echter heb ik 3 rubbers los geschroefd en deze weer vast geschroefd met een M4 ringbout vervolgens met karabijn haken aan vlieg ogen vast gemaakt aan het plafond.
Doordat ik ze zo op gehangen heb kan ik ze altijd makkelijk los maken van het plafond om ergens anders te gebruiken. In tegen deel van de ZX1i-90. Ook vind ik dat het vliegend professioneler lijkt dan op een muur statief.
Ik heb deze Electro-Voce Zx1 , 2 gekocht en geven supper mooi hoog geluid!!
Ik heb er dan ook wel 2 baskasten bij maar dat is niet nodig voor een klein feestje.
en bvb. in de tuin want de Zx1 kan ook heel goed tegen water .
ik heb ze in een hagel bui laten staan en geen druppeltje water in de EV Zx1
dus echt een aanrader !!!!
ps. bij een groot feest of in een café zou ik er tog wel een baskast bij kopen.
