Yamaha's SessionCake SC-01 and SC-02 are both compact and affordable personal mixers that make it easy to practise, record and even jam along with friends by connecting multiple SessionCakes together. The fact that you can do all of this relatively silently and without a ton of extra gear makes them extremely convenient too.
Connectors and controls
The red SC-01 has a Hi-Z jack input making it suitable for instruments like an electric guitar, while the SC-02 has stereo jack inputs (1x Hi-Z) as well as an XLR microphone input making it suitable for keyboard players and singers too. Both models by Yamaha feature four large control knobs giving you the ability to adjust your own volume, the input volume and the headphone volume. With the fourth knob you can control the pan (left and right).
Additional features
By connecting the SessionCakes to your iOS device, you can play along with your favourite songs and use your apps to add effects or record anything you play. Both devices are powered by two AA batteries and come with a TRRS mini jack cable and a manual.
