Yamaha have added a brand-new line of pianos to their Clavinova series called CSP. What's truly revolutionary about them is that they are controlled using the Smart Pianist app on your mobile device (iOS and Android)! This opens up a world of possibilities in terms of sounds, accompaniments and effects. Yamaha have launched two upright models, the CSP-150B and the slightly more luxurious CSP-170B, that both include a frame and three pedals.
Audio to Score
An especially handy function in the app is called Audio to Score. When you load in a music or audio file, the app generates the accompaniment or a specific section in notes or chords. If you're not used to reading music, this piano will help you learn by means of LEDs above the keys that show you which ones to press down and when. Playing along with your favourite music has never been easier!

Anyone who's played a Clavinova knows it's equipped with high-quality samples of the CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grand pianos. The new CSP models include an impressive 692 sounds that can be combined easily using slip and layer functions as well as 470 accompaniment styles.
