NAMM 2016: Marshall and Softube Reveal Digital CODE Amps

Thursday 21 January 2016 by Richard | Bax Music

Marshall joins forces with audio software pioneers Softube and steps in to the world of digital modelling amplifiers with the brand new CODE series!

Softube Collaboration

The collaboration between Marshall and Softube is not totally new. Back in 2010, they already worked together on the JDM series. The iconic British brand is now jumping head first in to digital modelling amplifiers with the CODE. This completely new series of guitar amplifiers consists of three combos, the CODE100H amplifier head, a 4x12-inch speaker cabinet, and a foot controller. The amplifiers are designed to bring you authentic classic and modern Marshall sounds. You can choose from 14 preamp models, 4 different power amp simulations and no less than 24 high-quality effects.

Modern functionality

With the Marshall Gateway app for iOS or Android, you can control the amplifiers remotely via Bluetooth. It's also possible to share your favourite settings with other users. A USB connection means that you can use the CODE models as a DAW interface too or play audio files through the built-in speakers or through headphones. Practising and playing along with your favourite numbers has never been easier. A fully programmable foot switch allows you to easily call up saved sounds. Both the combos and the amp head feature a built-in tuner. As you can tell, the new CODE series amps from Marshall are packed full of special features.
