NAMM 2016: Mad Professor Launches Deluxe Edition Overdrive and Delay |
Wednesday 20 January 2016 | |
You may be familiar with the brand Mad Professor's Sweet Honey Overdrive and Deep Blue Delay. Now, especially for NAMM 2016, they're launching the Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe and the Deep Blue Delay Deluxe. These comprehensive versions of two well-known stompboxes allow you even more tone-tweaking, but still have the same killer sound as their compact counterparts.
Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe: tone-tweaking with overdriveThe new Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe is equipped with bass and treble controls. You can make your drive fat and fuzzy by turning up the bass, or make your axe howl by opening up the treble. Mad Professor didn't forget to include their famous focus button, which allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the effects when finger-picking. Set it high for a thick layer of gain at the mere touch of your strings, and set it low when you want your fingers to do the work. This makes it particularly suitable for expressive guitarists. Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay Deluxe: short and long channelThe Deep Blue Delay Deluxe is essentially a jacked-up version of the effect of the same name. With both a short and a long channel at your disposal, you can program two different delays and switch between them with the push of a button. You could put a slapback delay on the short channel and a 900-millisecond delay on the long channel to create a sound like David Gilmour's! The Deep Blue Delay Deluxe provides plenty of room to experiment, that's for sure, and the sound comes pretty close to that of a priceless tape delay. Mad Professor pedals are powered by means of a 9-volt battery or adapter. For more information on the individual pedals, please have a look at the relevant product pages.
