NAMM 2016: ESP LTD Unveils Loads of New Guitars!

Friday 15 January 2016

NAMM 2016 is an exciting time for guitarists, as it's the time of year that many top brands present their new product lineup for the coming year. ESP LTD is once again going big, with a wide range of new electric guitars in fresh new colours and special finishes.

Eye for talent

ESP LTD is always glad to cater to hard-working guitarists. By working together with both new artists and veterans, the brand has released a fair number of Artist Signature instruments over the years. The newest member of the ESP family is the legendary Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest). His GT-600 is a striking Viper model with red EMG pickups and a Kahler tremolo. Also noteworthy is the LTD Burnt Tiger, based on the Mr. Scary guitars designed by George Lynch. Furthermore, the guys from Whitechapel and Unearth got a series of heavy 7-string guitars, with the classy AW-7B and the futuristic KS-M7 ET as personal favourites of ours.

Something for everyone

The standard models have also received a few excellent updates. Take, for instance, the EX-401FR, which is Explorer-style guitar with a Floyd Rose - sacrilege, or awesome? Or consider the M-400 Maple, with its maple fretboard and Seymour Duncan humbuckers. And speaking of shredders, the MH-427 has a whopping 27 frets, giving you access to a high G that can cut through just about anything. Finally, the affordable baritone guitars also make a return. The F-200B and VIPER-200B feature extra long scale lengths, meaning they're ideal for lower tunings.

We want more!

Please note that this is just a small selection out of all the models that ESP LTD has in store for us in 2016. For a comprehensive overview, take a look at the products listed below. In the coming weeks, these models will be updated with more informations, while new models will also be added. For up-to-date information on delivery times and pricing, keep an eye on those pages. Finally, while ESP aficionados might have missed some big names like Stephen Carpenter (Deftones) and Kirk Hammett (Metallica), don't be alarmed, as their new models will be unveiled shortly. We expect that Metallica's James Hetfield will also reveal his all-new Snakebyte Flying V at that time.
