Focusrite Unveils Clarett USB Audio Interfaces

Not too long ago, Focusrite launched the successful Clarett series of excellent audio interfaces with Thunderbolt connection. Now, they are unveiling the Clarett USB, which is essentially the same concept but suitable for Mac and PC with a minimum of one USB2.0 port. You can choose between three models, the Clarett 2Pre USB, the Clarett 4Pre USB and the Clarett 8Pre USB.

Focusrite - workhorses for the recording studio

The world-renowned audio interfaces by Focusrite need no introduction. They are some of our most popular studio products, and as they increase in popularity, they seem also to increase in functionality! The 2Pre is a great interface when only recording one or two tracks. That being said, it's still equipped with S/PDIF, ADAT, and DIN-MIDI, making it versatile enough to quite possibly become the most popular of the three. The 4Pre is one size larger and offers more inputs, making it ideal for recording bands, for instance. The 8Pre is the largest of the three with eight XLR/jack inputs as well as S/PDIF, ADAT and MIDI on the rear and even Wordclock! In terms of the quality in general, Focusrite is simply top of the line. These new Claretts all feature Air-enabled preamps for a significant boost in the higher frequencies for clear, bright recordings!
