Focusrite Launch Scarlett 3rd Gen Audio Interfaces!

Focusrite's Scarlett series is the undisputed winner when it comes to the number of audio interfaces sold each year and it's been that way ever since they were first launched. Each generation has been better than the last and now, the third generation is here! Read on to find out what's been improved this time.

Air Mode

The award-winning ISA preamps were the first to boast the Air function, followed by an Air Mode on Focusrite's top-end Clarett series interfaces. Now, for the first time, Air Mode can be found on the 3rd Gen Scarlett series interfaces too.

Redesigned front panel and internal improvements

The front panel has also been redesigned, upgrading the look of these audio interfaces, while the controls and LEDs make them easier to use than ever before. Internally, there have been changes too; the converters and preamps have both been improved to make your 24-bit / 192 kHz recordings sound better than ever with a wider stereo image and highly-detailed sound reproduction.

The 3rd Gen Scarlett audio interface lineup

The 3rd Generation interfaces also see a few changes. The 2i4 and 6i6 have been replaced by the 4i4 and 8i6, for instance. That means the entire 3rd Gen Scarlett audio interfaces now consist of the following models: 2i2, 2i2 Studio, Solo, Solo Studio, 4i4, 8i6, 18i8 and 18i20.
