In the period that the albums 'Let It Be' and 'Abbey Road' were released, George Harrison played a very special Telecaster. He requested a Telecaster made completely of rosewood, and master luthier Roger Rossmeisel delivered. This instrument has since become legendary among fans of the 'The Quiet One' and special solidbody guitars. Following the release of the Tribute version from the Fender Custom Shop, the brand now presents this Limited-Edition Signature Rosewood Telecaster. While this guitar gently weepsGeorge Harrison's original guitar was far ahead of its time in terms of finish. This new limited-edition model also has a satin-gloss lacquer that makes this Telecaster feel smooth and worn. To keep the weight of this solidbody manageable, Fender hollowed out the body. It's equipped with '64 Gray-Bottom single-coils from the American Vintage line, which translate the resonant twang into a more neutral sound when amplified. The original model from the sixties was returned to family members Olivia and Dhani Harrison in 2003. This special George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster is available in a limited quantity only, so act fast if you want to own one! Keep an eye on the product page for up-to-date information.
