Product no: 9000-0007-5730 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

The H8000FW is a completely programmable, channel-rich, 96kHz capable, stereo/mono, 24-bit, digital audio signal processor, UltraShifter (the ultimate in pitch manipulation) endowed monolith from the outboard giant's, Eventide. The H8000FW is the next in a long, proud line of DSPs stretching far back to the time when manufacturers had yet to know the difference between digital audio and Morse code. This processor combines the analogue I/O offered by the H8000A with the digital I/O of the H8000 with a little Firewire connectivity thrown on top.

The Ins, Outs and Processing Power of the H8000FW

The H8000FW is loaded with functions that set this unit in a class of its own with four, pristine quality analogue inputs and outputs plus eight channels over AES/EBU, ADAT and S/P DIF digital inputs and outputs. The Firewire port offers a direct connection with your Mac or PC so that 24-bit audio can be looped through one of the eight inputs and outputs. The H8000FW houses two independent processors (DSP A and DSP B) each with eight inputs and outputs that can work in series, parallel and everything in between. The 'Monolithic Tandem' function combines both processors to facilitate large and complex algorithms, such as 5.1 surround reverb.

An Arsenal of Effects and 174 Second Sample-Time

The variety and depth of effects that the H8000FW is capable of producing is truly amazing. From lush reverbs, choruses, flangers, delays and pitch shifters to EQs, filters, distortions, synthesizers, samplers, ring modulators and literally everything else. If you can think of it, the Eventide H8000FW has it and does it. The DSP A has a close to three minute (174 seconds mono)f sample / delay memory for loops (among other things) and both the DSP A and DSP B can take 44 seconds of delay time!

Generate Blocks of New Sound

If you're not quite satisfied with the 1800 pre-programmed sounds, the H8000FW can give you more with the 'modular programming' that made the Eventide DSP4000 and its descendants famous. Programs (effects) can be hand-built with individual blocks or 'modules' to create bespoke effects. The only limit here is your own inspiration and imagination.
