This nifty little device has the same features as its bigger brother - the POD 2.0 - in a portable, compact form. Its 32 classic and modern amp emulations plus 16 high-quality effects allow you to create virtually any guitar sound imaginable. A power outlet? You don't need one, as the Line 6 Pocket POD can be powered by four AAA batteries.
Great sounds at the push of a button
The Line 6 Pocket POD offers you more than 300 presets pre-programmed by famous artists and studio musicians. These are sorted by artist and music style so you can get cracking quickly. Connect the Pocket POD via USB to your computer to edit your own presets extensively or to download more than 3,000 presets of guitarists from all over the globe. The Line 6 POD makes you sound like a rock star wherever you go.
The ins and outs of the Pocket POD
The Line 6 Pocket POD is equipped with the most common connectors. You can connect your guitar to the 1/4-inch jack input using a standard guitar cable, and your headphones or speakers to the 1/8-inch stereo jack output. Play along to your favourite music or a drum computer via the 1/8-inch CD/MP3 input, or connect your amplifier to the AMP OUT to use the Pocket POD as an effect processor. No batteries on hand? The Line 6 Pocket POD has an input for an optional 9V DC adapter.

Nadeel:
- Verbinden van gitaar, voeding, koptelefoon en telefoon (om mee te spelen) lijdt tot een wirwar van kabels die het gebruiksgemak toch verlagen. De lichte plastic constructie voegt hier aan toe.
- Goed direct geluid, maar geen goed geluid in combinatie met versterkers die ik uit heb geprobeert (Fender twin reverb, Marshall JCM 900). Geluid zo schel dat ik moeilijk door de mix heen kwam bij band repetitie.
P.S.: Ik heb hem vervangen door de Blackstar FLY3 Bluetooth mini versterker. Die is veel geschikter voor mijn doel: laagdrempeling thuis oefenen met de mogelijkheid om makkelijk over een backing track/metronoom via mn telefoon te spelen. Dit is echt een topkeuze geweest. De Pocket Pod is leuk.
ook was het voor mij belangrijk om een mp3 of CD speler ingang te hebben.
Editing software was geen must maar zou heel mooi zijn!
De Pocketpod biedt dit allemaal en meer.
Klein maar fijn is hier wel van toepassing!
Ik heb een boekensteun een beetje gebogen en voorzien van rubber op de onderkant voor het wegschuiven. Dmv. de beltclip plaats ik hem hierop. Erg makkelijk voor op het bureau!
Het enige minpunt dat ik kan bedenken is dat hij bij het opstarten niet op de laatst gebruikte preset blijft staan. Dit moet je dus steeds weer opzoeken.
De Vyzex editing software werkt goed en is erg handig om de presets uit te zoeken (ook van gebruikers via de Line 6 site te downloadenen!)
Wel opletten dat je hem voor het juiste gebruik ook goed instelt (guitaramp of direct) anders klinkt het voor geen meter natuurlijk.
Een prima ding voor weinig geld! Ik ben er in ieder geval erg happy mee!
Dan is deze pocket POD een ideaal apparaat.
Eigenlijk is dit de Line 6 Spider IV 75 maar dan zonder voeding, eindversterker en luidspreker. Verder zijn alle opties aanwezig. Vooral de vele versterkermodellen zijn ideaal. Daarnaast is de klank die je op je hoofdtelefoon krijgt volledig verder te regelen.
Als je een eenvoudige gitaarversterker hebt dan kan je deze POD gebruiken om extra effecten aan de sound toe te voegen.
De duur van de batterijen (want in de tuin heb je doorgaans geen stopcontact voor de optionele voeding) is ruimschoots voldoende voor vele uurtjes speelplezier.
En uiteraard heeft BAX deze POD heel snel bij mij thuis afgeleverd. Zoals we van BAX gewend zijn !
Kortom : Aan te bevelen !!

Jammer dat dit apparaat de handel uitgaat .....
handig voor als je bijvoorbeeld in de tuin wil oefenen en je wil de buren niet storen.
van te voren al ingestelde presets zorgen ervoor dat je na het uitpakken en de batterijen erin heb gestopt meteen aan de gang kan in nog geen 5 minuten ben je al aan het spelen. Het mindere aan het product vond ik dat in het handleidingsboekje niet beschreven was hoe je er gedownloaden presets op kunt zetten je moet dat zelf uitzoeken gelukkig had ik het snel voor elkaar.
maar al met al een super product om lekker mee gitaar te spelen pluspunten zijn vooral de extra aansluitingen op de pocket pod zoals de cd/mp3 aansluiting amp out, 9vdc adapter aansluiting
Koop dit product en je zal geen spijt hebben.
