General

The Electro Harmonix Stereo Polychorus XO is an analogue flanger/chorus effect pedal that produces a wide range of sounds, from smooth and sultry to more extreme. This classic stomp box was an essential part of the signature sound of guitarists like Kurt Cobain and Adrian Belew. The Stereo Polychorus delivers anything from sultry chorus to rich chime-like flange, and all the exuberant effects that established this versatile pedal’s legendary status.

EHX Polychorus: 4 modes

The Stereo Polychorus has four adjustable effect modes. Filter matrix mode offers a comb matrix that produces chime-like effects. Use the tune knob to create a manual flange tone. Flanger mode offers a sweeping comb filter and delivers a range of modulation effects and whooshing sounds. Chorus mode produces a sweeping echo and allows you to create spacious sounds such as 12-string guitar or rotating speaker effects. Double track mode, finally, offers a short slapback echo.

Stereo and true bypass

The Stereo Polychorus is equipped with a second output, so you can connect a second amplifier to create an extra-wide stereo image. Of course it’s also possible to incorporate the Stereo Polychorus into a stereo FX loop. Thanks to its true bypass, the pedal leaves your original signal intact when it is switched off, so there’s no need to worry about signal loss or unwanted colouring. With its compact XO housing, the EHX Polychorus easily fits on your pedalboard.
