ZVEX Effects Sonar Vexter Tremolo Pedal

The Z.Vex Sonar (Vexter version) is yet another awesomely extensive tremolo pedal from the ever-original Z.Vex. First and foremost, this bite-sized stompbox adds clear and crisp tremolo effects to your sound, varying from snail-pace slow to extremely fast depending on the Speed control or Tap footswitch. What's striking here is that when the tremolo effect is set to zero, the Sonar operates is absolute silence. It's only when the effect is turned up, do the tremolo and Machine circuit begin to engage.

The Extensive Controls of the Sonar

Since this is the Vexter version of the Z.Vex Sonar, it features a screen-print rather than a hand-painted design. In every other way however, it's identical to its more exclusive twin, meaning it also comes the 'Arrows' switch to delay or accelerate the tremolo effect it's been kicked in. Using the Delta control, you can determine the intensity of the change in pace, while the Duty pot is used to determine how long you want the 'on' part of the tremolo to hang on for. By holding down the Tap switch, you even gain access to a 'hidden' mode where the Speed, Duty, and Delta pots are transformed into Attack, Release, and Depth controls.
