The SCF Gold harks back to the original Stereo Chorus Flanger as introduced by TC Electronic back in 1976. This modulation stompbox from the Danish guitar-pedal-giant not only has the looks, but the same tight, faithful and high-fidelity sound - plus chorus and flangers effects that have been based on the same BBD circuit yet boast more headroom and an improved low-end frequency response.
The SCF Gold: As Fast, Wide And Intense As You Want It
At the same time, this Chorus Flanger pedal is surprisingly quiet and by no means a concern in terms of noise. The input gain control is satisfying accurate, and the two mono jack outputs give you the freedom to route your wide stereo sound wherever you want after you've selected chorus or flanger using the second switch stuck in between the black pots. The three remaining controls are used to dial in the speed, depth and intensity of the modulation effect and, finally, it's probably worth mentioning that this reissue effects pedal is compatible with any standard 9V DC power supply.
