Product no: AM-MF107 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

The Moog MF-107 FreqBox is unlike any other available effect. The sound it produces is not merely a processed version of your input signal, but the sound of your input signal modulating an internal oscillator. This Moogerfooger is equipped with a VCO with a continuously variable waveform and has the capacity to modulate that oscillator in various ways.

First of all, the VCO can be synchronised (hard sync) with the input signal. Secondly, the VCO can be frequency modulated by the input signal - the same technique used for FM synthesis. Thirdly, the VCO frequency can be modulated by an envelope that follows the dynamic range of the input signal. Finally, the amplitude of the VCO can track the dynamics of the input signal.

Hard sync - a classic analogue synthesis technique - allows the start of an oscillator cycle to be reset by another oscillator, in which case the one that is being synced takes on the frequency characteristics of the other oscillator. That way, the harmonics of the fundamental frequencies are enhanced. The MF-107 FreqBox uses your input signal to reset the VCO.

FM is a technique that's used to turn simple waveforms into powerful sounds. The MF-107 FreqBox uses a linear type of FM synthesis, which results in chime-like sounds and awesome sweeps.

Like any Moogerfooger, the MF-107 allows you to directly plug in any instrument you like by means of a 1/4-inch jack cable - guitars, bass guitars, synthesizers or even other effects of Moogerfoogers. The parameters can be controlled by means of the knobs on the front panel, with an expression pedal, or using the CV inputs and outputs.

The MF-107 has a rugged build, which means you cannot only use it in your studio, but on stage as well. Its housing is made of solid metal and fitted with stylish hardwood side panels.
