De ENGL Z-7 MIDI Interface biedt u de mogelijkheid om kanalen en specifieke functies van uw ENGL versterker met een MIDI Interface Port via MIDI te schakelen. De interface is onder andere geschikt voor de ENGL E660 Savage Special Edition, E610 Savage, E360 Sovereign 100 Vintage en E930/60 Tube Poweramp. Via acht Poly kanalen of Omni-modus kunt u alle MIDI program changes ontvangen van 01 tot 100. Welke functies van uw ENGL versterker via MIDI schakelbaar zijn, hang af van het model. Zo kunt u onder andere tussen kanalen wisselen, Hi Gain activeren en Master A of B selecteren, in iedere combinatie en vervolgens opslaan in maximaal 100 patches.

Bediening van de ENGL Z-7 MIDI Interface
U sluit de ENGL Z-7 MIDI Interface eenvoudig aan op uw ENGL versterker via de meegeleverde 25-pins kabel. De interface behoeft verder geen externe netstroomadapter, want de vereiste voeding wordt geleverd door uw versterker via poort A. U kunt tevens een tweede versterker aansturen via poort B, met een optionele 25-pins kabel. Met een standaard MIDI-voetcontroller schakelt u vervolgens tussen de opgeslagen patches. Druk op het gewenste pedaal van uw voetschakelaar, kies vervolgens de gewenste functies en/of kanaal en houdt de Write knop ingedrukt. Uw patch is nu opgeslagen!

Schakelbare fantoomvoeding en MIDI thru
Gebruikt u een ENGL MIDI-footcontroller zoals de Z-9, Z-12 en Z-15? Dan kan de ENGL Z-7 bovendien fantoomvoeding leveren via de optionele 5-pins MIDI-kabel. Bij iedere andere MIDI voetschakelaar moet u de dipswitch omzetten en een externe voeding gebruiken. Tot slot is er een MIDI thru voor het aansluiten van overige MIDI-apparatuur, zoals externe effectprocessors. U kunt zelfs een derde versterker aansluiten, mits deze een ingebouwde MIDI Interface heeft. De ENGL Z-7 is de complete oplossing voor uw MIDI setup.

There's no need to take our word for it though, or even Roland's word for that matter. Robben Ford himself had the following to say: "I've been playing through tube amplifiers all my life.
