General
Devine's EZ-Creators went down a storm when they were first introduced and many people now have one these handy little models at home. The EZ-Creator Plus is essentially a combine of all three models, but if you'd rather have all of them separately, this EZ-Creator Pack is the most affordable way to do so. The Pack consists of the Key USB/MIDI keyboard, the Fade USB/MIDI controller and the Pad USB/MIDI controller. The keyboard has 25 keys, the Fade has 9 encoders/faders and the Pad has 12 pads. The Fade and Pad also have transport buttons that can save you a lot of mouse clicks. Bitwig 8-Track DAW software is included too.

Klopt dat het standaard niet lekker werkt, maar kan alle knoppen aansturen dmv een gratis programmaatje genaamd midi pipe. Daar alles geroute naar een eigen midi kanaal. Nu blij met een super goedkope compacte controller met lekker veel knobs en faders, die verder goed voelen.
Werkt niet met Ableton. Een aantal draaiknoppen waren erg gevoelig en omgekeerd geprogrammeerd. Naar de winkel gegaan, product geruild maar kon niet worden getest. Heb uiteindelijk gewoon weer hetzelfde probleem, dus moet helaas weer terug. Misschien een fabrieksfout of niet compatibel met Ableton
Ik ga alleen geen 5 sterren geven aangezien het allemaal wel wat aan de slappe kant lijkt. Het kost ook maar 40 euro dus je kan niet teveel klagen, maar er zijn toch een paar dingetjes die het bedienen wat vervelend kunnen maken. De faders en knoppen voor de kanalen zijn allemaal wat slap maar lijken ook wat deadzone te hebben. Dit betekent dat er een deel van de faders en knoppen is waar er niks veranderd. Vooral bij de faders helemaal onderaan is dit het meest te merken. Voor mij is dat niet echt een probleem, ik geef er niet veel om hoe iets voelt zolang het werkt, maar dit is voor iedereen verschillend.
De bank selectie lijkt inderdaad niet te werken, dat is wel wat jammer. En zoals een ander ook al had benoemd, de LEDs voor de bank indicatie zijn héél erg fel. Ik heb hier 4 stukken donkerblauw tape overheen gedaan en nog is het een klein beetje zichtbaar. Dus een rolletje zwarte tape is aan is misschien handig. Helaas heeft Bax dat niet als bundel haha.
Verder lijkt het allemaal te werken zoals je verwacht. En ondanks dat alle knoppen en faders allwmaal wat los voelen, zal het allemaal wel functioneren en ben ik ook niet bang dat het er vandaag of morgen af zal vallen. Een klein beetje meer bereik op de faders was fijn geweest, maar voor een simpele USB mixer als deze vind ik dat geen probleem.
Dus voor iets simpels kan ik deze zeker wel aanraden.
Ik weet alleszins dat het vanaf de i9 (wat ik heb) niet meer werkt.
Wou het gebruiken om live FX mee aan te sturen op Ableton maar dat werkt dus totaal niet. Ga hem morgen helaas terug opsturen.
Waar het ook voor dient...
hierdoor kun je de pads niet naar jouw smaak instellen.
