De PAD-12 van Omnitronic is onderdeel van de speciale lijn MIDI-controllers die het merk heeft uitgebracht. Dit MIDI drumpad is geschikt voor de producer die veel met percussie-samples doet, maar eveneens voor de DJ die een live controller zoekt om eenvoudig loops, samples en geluidseffecten op te roepen in zijn software. De PAD-12 is eenvoudig aan een PC of Mac te koppelen via USB en heeft 12 aanslaggevoelige pads. Een extra fader kunt u toewijzen aan de functie die u maar wenst. Verder heeft de controller nog enkele transport-knoppen aan boord en kunt u wisselen tussen banks.

De pads zijn extreem ongevoelig, je moet er echt op rammen om te triggeren.
De software die bijgeleverd is staat stijf van de bugs en engelse taalfouten.
De bijgeleverde software is zes jaar oud en de link uit de manual om een
recente versie te downloaden werkt niet (page not found).
Op de Mac met OSX 10.4.3 werkt de editor niet, onder Windows 7 en Win10
doet de editor het wel, maar hij kan regelmatig de PAD-12 niet vinden.
Sommige VST plug-ins werken wel, maar sommige niet. Terwijl ze allemaal
met mijn Alesis Q49 gewoon goed functioneren. Dit ding is een drama.
