General
If the Launchkey models not quite portable enough for you, then Novation offers the perfect alternative with its Launchkey Mini MK2 MIDI keyboard. As far as functions are concerned, it has all the essentials in a much more compact package. What you can do with this little piece of technology can be summed up in Ableton Live, which is what the Launchkey was designed for. But, seeing as it's all MIDI data being transferred back and forth, this modest Launchkey can be used with other DAWs as well. In any case, you can take advantage of direct support offered by InControl technology in FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Cubase, Studio One and Logic.
Characteristics of The Novation Launchkey Mini MK2
Novation has been very generous by providing software with this product. It comes with Ableton Live Lite 9, as well as the virtual instruments Novation Bass Station and V-Station. It's also equipped with 1 GB of Loopmaster samples to get you started. On top of all this, the Launchkey is powered via USB, which means you can even hook it up to a laptop and make music in the back seat of your car, for instance!

Ondanks de prijs voelt het keyboardje nog best stevig aan. Bijgeleverde software is wel wat gedateerd en kan bijvoorbeeld niet concurreren met de meegeleverde software bij Arturia en Akai. Voor Ableton gebruikers zou ik dan ook de Arturia aanraden waarbij er een volledige Ableton integratie aanwezig is.
Handzaam.
Code van Ableton was reeds ingepikt!? Snel een nieuwe gekregen van support-dienst Ableton.
Licentie Ableton op meerdere toestellen bruikbaar.
Ableton live lite perfect om mee te starten. Tutorials genoeg op internet.
Toestel werkt op PC, Mac, IOS (Garageband) en Android (Walk Band).
De toetsen had ik volgens eerdere reviews erger verwacht maar dit valt goed mee.
Snel geleverd.
Ik heb weinig ruimte op mijn bureau dus een dit toestel is ideaal om muziek te maken. Ook voor mensen die vaak op reis gaan is dit een ideale oplossing. Je hebt genoeg pads, keys en draaiknoppen.
Pads voelen super goed aan!Werkt goed met Reason. Beats maken gaat nu op 1,2,3!
Zoals altijd levert novation ook ableton live lite mee met tal van samples dus je kan je zeker niet vervelen.
Pitch bend wiel was wel handig geweest, maar dan kan je altijd gaan voor zijn grotere broertje (maybe next time ;) )
Voor deze prijs kan je niks beter vinden (misschien akai MPK mini)
Is vooral voor gebruik met I pad.
Neemt niet veel plaats in , voor mij is het zeker 5 sterren waard.
Hij is makkelijk mee te nemen doordat hij klein en licht is.
Ook wordt Ableton Live lite bijgeleverd. en nog wat extra software van Novation zelf.
Het enige nadeel is dat je erg hard moet drukken tot je het geluid op een normaal niveau hebt.
Voor de rest is het een top keyboard.
Plug & play met Ableton.
Pads en draaiknoppen werken prima.
De toetsen zijn qua velocity soms wat "ongrijpbaar", je moet vrij hard spelen wil je boven de 110 uitkomen.
daarom is het "beheersen" van plugins soms wat lastig.
