For producers who want to be in the spotlight, Arturia offer the MiniLab MK2 USB/MIDI keyboard. This affordable, compact mini keyboard is easy to take with you wherever you go, and is powered via USB. With the ability to play the keyboard, assign drum samples with the pads, use plugins, or experiment with the sixteen rotary knobs, you'll have virtually endless possibilities at your fingertips. Add to that the possibility to play with the touch strip pitch bend and modulation and the sustain input, and you've got yourself a complete studio on the go!
Features of the Arturia MiniLab MK2
If you're wondering what the MK2 means in this product name, it means this is the second version of Arturia's original MiniLab. The quality of the components has been improved, as well as the housing, the key bed, and the controls. It also comes with a collection of useful software including Analog Lab, a library of sounds based on Arturia softsynths that offer a wide range of analogue synths, and workstations, organs, string machines, pianos, and other vintage sounds.
Additional options
A grand piano may not be the first sound you think of when you think of a compact controller keyboard like this one, but it is included! It's not just any grand either—it's the top-notch Uvi Grand Piano Model D (a virtual Steinway). The MK2 also comes with Ableton Live Lite, a DAW that is highly popular in the EDM scene due to its live performance features. Grand Piano ( model D ) eenmaal geïnstalleerd en de toetsen komen tot leven. Helemaal blij met deze aankoop!
Waarom dan 4 sterren vraagt u zich nu af.. de installatie van de software. Arturia had dit iets makelijker mogen maken. Goed te doen maar ga er wel even voor zitten. Tip: stick to the instructions! Volg ze letterlijk 1 voor 1 op, maak je accounts aan, download je software pakketjes, activeer alles netjes, geef niet op en raak blij verrast.
(Eigenlijk dus gewoon 5 sterren!)
De software gebruik ik niet zozeer, maar klinkt wel goed.
